In the future Martian cultivated wine and beer could be the real deal after a hard day of work on Mars.

NASA hopes that a manned mission to Mars could be a possible by 2034.

CEO Elon Musk has claimed that his company SpaceX could launch its manned mission to Mars as early as 2024.

Each of us whether individual, country, business, or organization can successfully contribute to the development and growth of Martian colonies.

Georgia a country located in Eastern Europe known as one of the oldest winemaking regions in the world is one such country.

A recent discovery made in Georgia of 8000-year-old grape seed and wine sealed in clay earthenware as lent more evidence to its prehistoric winemaking culture.

Inspired by their ancient wine heritage and its current admirable wine industry Georgia has committed to making wine possible on Mars.

The state-run grape library in Saguramo grows 450 local and 350 foreign species of grapes.

In Georgia’s IX Millennium Project scientists work on identifying the most suitable grape under simulated conditions that can withstand the Martian climate.

“If we’re going to live on Mars one day, Georgia needs to contribute. Our ancestors brought wine to Earth, so we can do the same on Mars,” said Nikoloz Doborjginidze, founder of Georgia’s Space Research Agency and an adviser to the Ministry of Education and Science, which is a part of the Mars wine project.

While Georgian wine industry is working on wine for future Martian colonies beer lovers need not despair.

Budweiser Beer on Mars Mission is working to achieve this incredible feat.

Budweiser has partnered with the Center for Advancement of Science in Space (CASIS),  that manages the International Space Station U.S. National Laboratory, and Space Tango to conduct experiments.

I figure it would be cool to drink  beer on Mars.

In the future  a member of the Martian colony might want to kick back with a locally sourced glass of wine or beer.

Good thing we had that covered.

What is your ideal drink on Mars?
