Easy Thanksgiving Drinks ~2020


We’re inching closer to the Holiday season, which means food, drinks, shopping, and family will be forefront.

However, Holiday socializing rules will be different this year.

But there is absolutely no reason to have some downtime and relax.

Celebrate ourselves for standing tall in the face of this difficult and challenging year.

Have a small gathering, or relax at home, which is recommended this year. Prepare to take this year out with a bang.

Here is a list of easy-to-make cocktails pulled together from different sites to get you started with the festivities.

You will also find traditional drinks that celebrate different cultures.

The season is right for spices and fall flavors, so work the magic.

Cloves, fresh ground cinnamon, cinnamon sticks, nutmeg, pumpkin spice, ginger, apples, and fresh seasonal fruits all complement the fall weather.

Apple Cranberry Sparkling Punch

Holiday drink made right for your guests.

 

 

Ingredients ~Serves 6

  • 3½ Cups  Martinelli’s Sparkling Apple-Cranberry, chilled
  • 1 Cup Cranberry Juice
  • 7 Cinnamon Sticks
  • 1 tsp Whole Cloves
  • ½ tsp Ground Nutmeg
  • 1½ Cup Orange Juice, chilled
  • 1 Cup Vodka, optional

Instructions

In a small saucepan over medium heat, add cranberry juice, 3 cinnamon sticks, cloves and nutmeg. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat and cover.

Let steep for 15 minutes. Strain into a bowl and place in the refrigerator for 15 minutes to cool.

Combine infused cranberry juice, orange juice, Martinelli’s Sparkling Apple-Cranberry, 4 cinnamon sticks, and vodka (if using), in a pitcher filled with ice. Stir to combine and serve. Garnish glasses with a cinnamon stick.

Sparkling Fall Sangria

More Holiday drinks to enjoy with guests.

 

 

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle red wine (chilled)
  • 2 red apples ( with skin, cored and cut into small chunks)
  • 1 pear ( with skin, cored and cut into small chunks)
  • 2 oranges ( with skin, seeds removed and cut into thin slices)
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 3 cardamom pods (lightly crushed)
  • 3 cloves
  • 1 bottle sparkling apple cider (chilled)
  • 1 can Klarbrunn  Citrus Blend Sparkling water (chilled)

 

Instructions

In a large container combine the wine, all the fruits, and spices

Refrigerate for a minimum of 2 hours or up to 1 day

Just before serving add in chilled Klarbrunn Citrus Blend Sparkling Water and sparkling apple cider

Cinnamon Apple Pie

Get creative with the white wine and spice it up.

 

 

Ingredients

  • Stella Rosa Platinum
  • Green apples
  • A pinch of ground cinnamon
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Cinnamon stick for garnish
  • Ice

Instructions

In a glass of ice, squeeze in lemon juice and add apples.

Pour in Stella Rosa Platinum. Add ground cinnamon.

Stir with cinnamon stick and garnish with an apple slice.

Jack Fire Red-Hot Holiday
Whiskey lovers add the Holiday spirit to your whiskey.
Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 oz. Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Fire
  • 3 oz. Coca-Cola Cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 oz. Ginger beer
  • Lime wedge

Instructions

Pour Jack Fire over ice.

Add Coca-Cola Cinnamon.

Add ginger beer.

Garnish with lime wedge.

Pama Mimosa

For the bubbly people great bubbles with fruit liqueur.

 

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. PAMA pomegranate liqueur
  • 1 oz. Fresh Orange Juice
  • 2 oz. Champagne

Instructions

Pour ingredients into a Champagne flute.

Craving a Beer!

Thanksgiving is never really whole without the traditional turkey, football, or beer. Amber or Brown Ales are popularly recommended with roast turkey.

These beers can complement the caramelized turkey well. Beers generally pair well with similar food flavor backgrounds.

Then there is the beer of choice, your personal favorite that no other beer can touch.

If you’re still craving a fancy holiday beer punch, then here is one.

 

25th Spirit

 

Ingredients

3oz Blue Moon Belgian White Belgian-Style Wheat Ale

1 1/2oz Citrus Aperitif

1/2oz Fresh Lemon Juice

1/4oz Simple Syrup

2oz Sparkling Water

Garnishes

Orange Twist

Instructions
Combine lemon, simple syrup and citrus aperitif in wine glass

Add ice and sparkling water

Top with Blue Moon Belgian White and stir gently

Add orange twist garnish

Coquito

Nothing celebrates the fall flavors better than spiced rums. If you’re looking for a rich flavorful drink to just sit and relax by the fireplace here is one.

Puerto Rico’s iconic cocktail with a touch of spice rum.

 

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cup Captain Morgan original spiced rum
  • 1 -12 oz.  can evaporated mil
  • 1 -14 oz. condensed sweetened milk
  • 2 cups cream of coconut
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • Cinnamon sticks

Instructions

Mix all ingredients in a blender at high speed.

Refrigerate for a minimum of 1 hour.

Shake well before serving.

Serve cold in a small glass. Garnish with cinnamon stick.

Classic G&T with fresh cut ginger slices

 Slice ginger into long equal slices

 Fill glass to rim with ice and serve with 6 ginger slices

 Pour tonic over ice and add stirrer

 Pour ROKU into a gin cup at room temperature

The Cobbler drink is similar to the desert peach cobbler, and what makes this drink stand out is the fruits.
You can simply go with fresh cut lemon and lime slices or find fresh seasonal fruits to add to your drink.

  • 1.50 oz. Brandy
  • .25 oz. Simple syrup
  • Club Soda
  • Fresh cut fruits of your choice

 

Instructions

Add Brandy and simple syrup to a glass filled with ice and then top with club soda

Top with fruits


 

Huatulco Sun

If Tequila is your drink and you like it a with a touch of Holiday flavor look no further.

 

 

Ingredients

  • 1.50 oz. Xicala Mezcal
  • Apple soda

 

Instructions

Fill glass with ice

Add Mezcal and top with apple soda

Stir gently

Pumpkin Pie Martini

Finally if you’re feeling up to it shake, and build your self the best pumpkin  pie martini ever.

Ingredients

  • 4 ounces light cream
  • 1/4 cup canned pumpkin
  • 3 ounces white chocolate liqueur
  • 1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon McCormick Pumpkin Pie Spice

Instructions

Fill cocktail shaker two-thirds full with ice. Add light cream, pumpkin, white chocolate liqueur, brown sugar and pumpkin pie spice; shake vigorously 15 to 20 seconds or until well mixed and chilled.

Strain into 2 martini glasses. Serve immediately.

Safe Holidays

Lastly, before you take off to try out some or all the recipes, here is some important information to keep in mind.

According to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention everyone can make Thanksgiving safer by following this simple rules.

  • Wear a Mask
  • Stay at least six feet away from people who do not live with you
  • Wash your hands

 

Attending a Gathering

  • Bring your own food, drinks, plates, cups, and utensils.
  • Wear a mask, and safely store your mask while eating and drinking.
  • Avoid going in and out of the areas where food is being prepared or handled, such as in the kitchen.
  • Use single-use options, like salad dressing and condiment packets, and disposable items like food containers, plates, and utensils.

 

Hosting a Thanksgiving Gathering

  • Have a small outdoor meal with family and friends who live in your community.
  • Limit the number of guests.
  • Have conversations with guests ahead of time to set expectations for celebrating together.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces and items between use.
  • If celebrating indoors, make sure to open windows.
  • Limit the number of people in food preparation areas.
  • Have guests bring their own food and drink.
  • If sharing food, have one person serve food and use single-use options, like plastic utensils.
