Craft Beer Experts Shout Out Their Favorite Bock Brews For Spring ~by Uproxx

Bock might be the German word for goat, but this popular spring beer’s name actually came from a colloquial mistake. Originally brewed in the German city of Einbeck as long ago as the 1300s, it eventually gained popularity and made its way south to Munich. That’s where the subtle difference in pronunciation changed the name “Einbeck” to “Einbock” which means “Billy goat” in German. The name stuck — explaining why so many bottles and cans of bock beer are adorned with goat images.

Pliny the Younger 2022 Postponed, but still on!

Thanks to COVID-19, we were unable to pull off our 18th Annual Pliny the Younger Release the first Friday in February. But that’s okay because now we are far more prepared! This year’s Pliny the Younger will be released at both our Santa Rosa and Windsor brewpubs on draft and in bottles March 25th-April 7th, 2022! Perhaps these new dates will end up providing better weather and a more enjoyable Younger experience.
